Choices for Life 2008: new teaching packs
Choices for Life, a national programme of events to support substance use education for young people in Primary 7 will be running in May 2008. This year new teaching packs have been created by Learning and Teaching Scotland and Aberdeen City Council. They use the draft experiences and outcomes of Curriculum for Excellence to engage young people in learning about substance use before and after the Choices for Life events.
The teaching packs along with new leaflets for parents and carers have been distributed to Health Promoting School leads at every local authority by the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency for onward distribution to schools.
